Made these tiny squares as a welcoming treat for the new guys joining our team at work. ‘I ❤ PS’ stands for ‘I love pricing support’ which is what their half a team will be called from now on. The recipe is a combination of two of my previous recipes, chocolate fudge and shortbread, sugarless though.

Can you tell the time by the shade in the pictures? 😀 i struggled a bit with the pictures and meh.

All in all, the squares were good, tehy melted before I got the chance to taste some myself.

Ingredients (For a 30×30 cm pan, 56 pieces)

Shortbread

– 300 g butter *chilled*

– 450 g flour

– salt

– 10 tablespoons ice cold water

Directions

1. Mix the flour and butter with a cold fork till you get to a crumbly state of the dough.

2. Add water and mix. Use hands as little as possible. Mix just till the dough sticks together.

3. Cover with plastic foil and let cool for half an hour.

4. Heat the oven to 190 degrees C, roll out the dough, pierce it wiht a fork to prevent air bubbles from forming during baking.

5. Bake for 30-50 minutes, depending on how crispy you want yuor shortbread to be.

Chocolate fudge

Ingredients

– 78 ml water (i used a bit more so i’d get a softer fudge)

– 200 g sugar

– 300 g powdered milk

– 40 g cocoa

– 270 g butter *room temperature*

Directions

1. Mix the sugar and water and bring to a boil, boil till it starts bubbling, remove from the heat and add butter.

2. Mix the powdered milk and cocoa

3. Pour the liquid over the powdered milk and mix well ,careful not to spill any on yourself, it’s hot.

4. Mix really really well, the fudge will become sturdy, but the more you mix, the softer your fudge will turn out.

5. Pour over biscuit and let cool overnight.

Slice and decorate as you please. And share with your friends!

Ingrediente (pentru o tava 30×30 cm, 56 bucati)

Biscuite

– 300 g unt * rece *

– 450 g făină

– sare

– 10 linguri de apă rece ca gheaţa

Preparare

1. Se amestecă făina şi untul rece, cu o furculita pana se ajunge la un aluat sfărâmicios.

2. Se adaugă apă şi se amestecă. Utilizaţi mâinile cât mai puţin posibil. Se amestecă doar pana se intrama aluatul.

3. Se acoperă cu folie de plastic si lasa la rece pentru o jumătate de oră.

4. Se încălzeşte cuptorul la 190 grade C, se intinde o foaie de dimensiunile tavii. Pentru a preveni bulele de aer din timpul coacerii, puteti sa gauriti pe ici colo aluatul.

5. Coaceţi timp de 30-50 minute, în funcţie de cat de crocant/moale vreti sa fie biscuitele

Ciocolata de casa

Ingrediente

– 78 ml de apă (am folosit un pic mai mult, ca sa-mi iasa ciocolata putin mai moale)

– 200 g de zahăr

– 300 g lapte praf

– 40 g cacao

– 270 g unt la temperatura camerei

Preparare

1. Se amestecă zahărul cu apă şi se aduce la fierbere, se fierbe pana cand incepe sa faca spuma apoi se ia de pe foc şi se adaugă untul.

2. Laptele praf şi cacao se cern impreuna

3. Se toarnă lichidul peste laptele praf si se amesteca bine, cu atentie să nu stropiti, frige.

4. Se amestecă foarte foarte bine, crema se va inatari, cu cat amestecati mai mult, cu atat mai fina va deveni.

5. Se toarnă peste biscuite si lasa la rece peste noapte.
